David Makalaster's been blowing glass since 16, doing it full time since 18, and making rigs since 2009.
Creep is a Washington State artist who has been working with glass for more than ten years. He started his glass career at the furnace but switched to the torch to pursue further freedom and detail in his work. āIām constantly trying to add more sculptural detail and keep the pieces super functional at the same time.ā He tries to keep things fresh by working with other artists and digging for new sources of inspiration and information. And, while everyone likes to look at the big headies, not everyone can afford them. So Creep tries to offer the same attention to detail on all of his pieces, no matter how large or small. Keep scoping Pacific Glass Gallery for his newest stuff, and check out his gallery at GlassPipes.org for more work!
We're stoked to announce the arrival of LEAR glass on the site! LEAR has been working on the torch for 5 years and is entirely self taught. Hailing from Santa Rosa, CA, he has always enjoyed pushing his limits and will never quit blowing glass. He often resides among the top 5 blowers on GlassPipes.org. LEAR is excited to continue down the long road ahead of him and would like to thank all of his fans and friends who support him as an artist. We will also be getting glass from LEAR's girl, Susan from Sonoma County, who's been on the torch since 1996.
We're excited to bring n3rd's sick work to Pacific Glass Gallery. Here's what he had to say about his art:
"i enjoy creating desire; my mission is to make something that when people pick it up to check it out, they won't want to set it down, glass is the perfect medium for this. i enjoy simple shapes and forms, i like things to look natural. important details for me are how pieces sit or stand, how they fit into your hand when you hold it, and the focal points must be worth scrutinizing. every moment behind the torch is a gift i don't take for granted, much thanks to Kaj and Art and everyone that paved the way. these are exciting times for coe33, i'm honored to be apart of it." -n3rdTrikky started blowing glass in Berkeley, CA in March 2009 after collecting functional glass art for 4 years prior. He is a fan of brightly colored glass art and enjoys working with vibrant shades and patterns. Trikky has lived all over the country, spending time in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, and South Carolina. He moved at the end of 2009 from Northern California to Oregon to work with respected artist, Eusheen. Trikky loves making art, and plans to push his skills further and further.
